It's Another Monday
I'm enjoying writing these blogs....it's a way to let out the little things that go on in my life...whether you actually want to here about it is one thing but entertaining i hope it is.
My Monday started out early at 6am. I had to meet my co-worker at 7:30am and i was driving us to Green Bay for an up-do class. Keeping up with all the trends of the new season is important for my job. We do weddings every weekend and all the formal dances for all the high schools. Anyway, after my shower i woke Emi up....not easy as she is not a morning girl(wonder who she takes after!?) They were a little more on their own this morning because i had to leave at 7 in order to get my latte from the Z-spot and get to Jomaji by 7:30. Their dad was picking them up for school today which always makes me nervous; i called him and he assured me that he remembered to pick them up. So off i went. i called in my coffee so its ready when i get there and i was on my way. i was almost out of Sheboygan Falls and i heard something loud coming from my car. I turned off the radio and realized it was indeed my car. omg! what could be wrong? i kept driving as i analized in my head what to do. i called my friend, Shelia, who i was meeting and told her that i thought something was wrong with my car and she may have to drive but i would still meet her at the salon. I made it to Sheboygan and now my car wasnt driving right and i thought maybe i should pull over and just check out what was going on. To my surprise the right front tire was blown out. It's raining. i've never changed a tire before. My coffee was ordered. Sheila was waiting for me. Who do i call? My mom!! i explained to her what happened and she told me that my step-dad would come and take care of my car and she told me to still go to the class and when i got home the tire would be fixed. i was so thankful for the parents i have. this wasnt the first time they have come to the rescue. Sheila picked me up at my car and we went and got our lattes and we were finally on our way. No sooner were we on the highway heading out of town when my cell rang and it was Emi's school calling. it was her telling me she forgot her flute and it was her first day practicing with the flute choir. i felt like i should have just stayed in bed today; on a normal Monday i would have been available to help her but today i had to say no, i couldnt bring her flute to school. I asked her to try her dad and maybe he would be willing to come into town and do that for her. i found out later that he did and all was well!
The class was fun and after the crazy morning we werent even late. After the class we went for lunch and it was nice to relax and reflect on the morning. This is why i dont work on Monday's.....!!!

Sounds like your Monday was an eventful day. The fact that you were able to not be late for anything is amazing.
ReplyDeleteYour parents sound like wonderful people, who I am sure have been in your position before with the flat tire. You are lucky to have such a wonderful step-dad who took care of everything and had your car waiting for you when you got home. Just makes you think sometimes how lucky we are and we don't even realize it.
I hope your Tuesday goes much better :o)
I had something like that happen to me too, where the radio was loud but the flat tire was louder... didn't notice it until I got to my house, and I still get picked on for that by my family... oh well. glad you were safe regardless!
ReplyDeleteMondays are always crazy in some way! Otherwise they wouldn't be called Mondays. Now I understand why Krista and Eileen were asking you questions about your flat tire! :).
ReplyDeleteBy the way...I love Z-Spot!
